Wound Care

The Department of Rehab Services at Memorial Hospital and Manor offers Wound Care services on an inpatient or outpatient basis under the direction of a referring physician. We understand that a wound, whether acute or chronic, can greatly alter your quality of life. Memorial Hospital and Manor Rehab is committed to providing cost-effective, quality wound care with the highest positive outcome for the patient. If you have had an open wound for more than two weeks, it may be considered “chronic.” Chronic wounds may last for many months, become infected, result in pain, and progress in size. Some chronic wounds can become gangrenous and lead to amputation of the involved region.

Our licensed staff is specifically trained to evaluate and treat wounds that include venous or arterial ulcers, ulcers of mixed etiology, neuropathic diabetic foot ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and burns. Our Rehab staff works with patients in the hospital, as well as outpatients who have a physician order. Our Outpatient Rehab Clinic is located at Memorial Medical Center, 603 Wheat Avenue, Bainbridge, Georgia 39819. For appointments, please call (229) 243-8124.
