Memorial Hospital and Manor is located in Decatur County in the Southwest Georgia town of Bainbridge, which is known historically as Georgia’s First Inland Port City. The Flint River flows through Bainbridge and merges with Spring Creek and the Chattahoochee River to form Lake Seminole, one of the best lakes for bass fishing in the Southeast. Bainbridge is centrally located between Albany and Thomasville, Georgia, Tallahassee, Florida and Dothan, Alabama, and is less than 100 miles from the Florida Gulf Coast.

Although Decatur County is best known for its agricultural products, it is also the center of many diverse industries. Decatur County is home to Bainbridge College, a two-year unit of the University System of Georgia. Bainbridge College offers transfer Associate of Arts degrees, as well as many vocational-technical certificates and degrees. Memorial Hospital and Manor offers a clinical setting for the college’s RN and LPN students’ training.
