Sleep Center

Sleep Studies are performed at Memorial Hospital and Manor by physician referral Monday through Thursday nights. Patients generally report to the hospital’s Kirbo Women’s Center at 8:00 p.m. and are dismissed the following morning at 7:00 a.m. Sleep studies are performed on patients as young as 3 months using CPAP and BiPAP.

Sleep studies are performed in a private, comfortable room, using state-of-the-art equipment. Patients are continuously monitored during overnight studies by a technologist with special training in sleep diagnostics. All technicians are registered polysomnographers. Registered polysomnographers, RPSGT, have received extensive training in sleep medicine and have proven their competency by passing a national exam.

All sleep studies are read and interpreted by a medical doctor who is board certified in sleep medicine, pulmonology and internal medicine. Once the doctor’s findings are complete, the final report is sent to the referring physician for review with the patient. Appointments for sleep studies may be made by calling (229) 228-2729.
