“I am a third semester nursing student with ABAC. I attended clinical in the OR on July 14, 2026. I was paired with Amanda who was phenomenal. She made sure to teach me, she explained everything, allowed me to ask questions, made sure I was able to see, etc. She made sure to keep me included and available to learn, even when she had her hands full with tasks. She also stood out to me for going above and beyond for her peers. She was so helpful to the OR staff in the room.
She was by far the best nurse I’ve been paired with in my schooling experience thus far. The entire OR staff was so nice, but she really went above and beyond. I learned so much from her not only about the OR setting, but about who I should strive to be as a nurse.
She never once made me feel intimidated or like I was a bother to her. She is the kind of nurse that I want to be.”
