We are excited to announce our 3rd Qtr Daisy Award Winner- Jackie Scruggs!
Jackie has been with us for around 20 years now and has been a valuable asset to our team, her co-workers, and our patients.
Daisy Award write up – I want to take the time to express much gratitude and appreciation to a nurse at your facility that recently took care of my husband. It was very nice to see a familiar face like hers that has taken her job very seriously and continued to serve this community for so many years. My husband was in the hospital for 4 days and nights, with Jackie being his nurse for 2 shifts. When I asked him who would he say was the best nurse or one he appreciated the most, he said Jackie. She expressed all of the values the hospital stands for while being professional and having an awesome bedside manner. She was sure to ask him to state his name and date of birth prior to every medication administration. When she offered to do things for him, she followed through and we did not have to call her again. She worked well with her peers and they appeared to respect her as well. She did things in a timely manner, being sure to make rounds soon after her shift started to let us know she would be his nurse. She was gentle with her care and made my husband and family feel more comfortable during a stressful situation.

Congratulations to Gwen Gilbert, our September Employee of the Month! Gwen is a true team player and always goes out of her way to help anyone she can. Her co-workers describe her as very dependable, an excellent trainer, always willing to help out, kind hearted, and a wonderful listening ear. Gwen does her best every day, whether she is on the floor working with the residents, filling in for a co-worker, or assisting a residents family member. She is always all in! You are so appreciated by all, Gwen! Congrats and thank you for all you do for your team members and our residents at Willow Ridge!
We want to congratulate Amanda Toliver on her recent promotion to Radiology Manager! Amanda has been with our team for almost 5 years and is registered in CT and cross-trained in Nuclear Medicine. We are so proud of Dr. Buck with our Memorial Pediatric office! He was awarded the Mission Model Award from FSU’s College of Medicine, which is for faculty who live out the college’s mission statement in their practice. Their Mission Statement is: “The Florida State University College of Medicine will educate and develop exemplary physicians who practice patient-centered health care, discover and advance knowledge, and are responsive to community needs, especially through service to elder, rural, minority, and underserved populations.” We agree that you do just that, Dr. Buck! Congratulations to Peyton Dixon for being our August Employee of the Month! Peyton works in our IT Department and has been a wonderful asset during his 10 years with us! We all know how frustrating IT issues can be and Peyton always is nice, polite, and professional when assisting with troubleshooting and solving the problems.
