Description
The Nurse Tech provides direct and indirect patient care to all age groups. It is their duty to assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities that occur on the Nursing Unit. The Tech will perform clerical and receptionist duties as well as selected patient care duties and assist in maintaining the physical environment of the nurses’ station.
Qualifications
Must currently be enrolled in and have successfully completed the first semester of an approved nursing course of study. Basic nursing skills learned in the first semester of curriculum. Current BCLS certification (may be obtained at orientation). Must pass boards within 6 months of hire.
Experience
As consistent with the successful completion of the first semester of a nursing curriculum.
