Memorial Hospital and Manor celebrates this quarter’s DAISY AWARD honoree:
CARRIE WILSON, RN
This nomination was the result of a thank you card sent by the mother of one of our patients. The mother said, “I brought my son into the ED because he had a very bad laceration to this finger; we thought he would lose the tip of his finger. My son was very upset. Carrie got on the bed with him and talked to him to distract him from his finger. Carrie went above and beyond and made not only my son comfortable but she was also concerned for me and helped me remain calm. Carried turned a bad situation into a very good one. She was able to multitask so well by assisting the doctor with the laceration repair and keep everyone calm. This was the most pleasant experience a person can ask for in the emergency room.
Carrie is very kind, compassionate, and also very competent. It means so much when people do more than necessary or expected. Thank you so much!”
We appreciate and honor you, Carrie!
