Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Pharmacy; ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborns to the elderly; directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related substances and supplies; participates in the department’s planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education and human resources activities. Management of 340B mixed-use setting plus 4 outside contract pharmacies and one hospital owned closed-door LTC/employee pharmacy. Pharmacy informatics to include smart pump library development and maintenance, automated dispensing system (Omnicell) system administration, Meditech drug library and order set maintenance as relates to medications. Please note this position also staffs on evenings, holidays and weekends, plus covers during PAL of staff pharmacists, with approximately 30% of the time spent staffing. 


Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent. Graduate from accredited School of Pharmacy. Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Georgia. Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training. Management training or equivalent managerial experience required.
