Works directly with and is responsible to the Director of Quality/Risk Mgmt. Coordinates infection prevention activities for the hospital and nursing home in order to provide safe, quality patient/resident care. Reviews the results of employee health physicals and follows-up on employee exposures. Accountability is monitored through performance evaluation.
Graduate of school of nursing with current Ga. RN license. Experience in infection prevention, advanced training preferred. Minimum of five years clinical experience in a hospital. Highly energetic individual with desire to develop and implement infection prevention training programs, conduct training seminars and exercises with working knowledge of nursing practice and theory. Possess excellent written, interpersonal, time management and presentation skills with flexibility to meet a wide range of service needs.
