Description
Acts as secretary and receptionist for the department which includes answering a multi-line telephone system, taking messages, forwarding calls, and screening visitors. Receives, distributes, screens, and reviews all incoming applications and applicants. Maintains, organizes, sorts, and files all information pertaining to applications, personnel files, insurance files, employee health files, and miscellaneous files. Coordinates the Front Office, and is responsible for all visitors to the Department. Appropriately assists all visitors, and routes them in the appropriate directions. Coordinates and approves Access for anyone entering our facility in an employment, volunteer, contract, or student basis. Is an assistant for all members of the Department, distributes payroll checks, completes employee change request forms, and completes special assignments as requested. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Supervisor.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must pose a genuine interest in people, and be able to communicate with all types of people. Must be friendly, compassionate, organized, and perceptive.
Experience
Previous office and telephone experience is preferred. Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
