Description
TheHospital Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing all hospital billing operations for a rural healthcare facility, ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient financial service. This position manages hospital billing staff, monitors billing workflows, resolves claim issues, and works collaboratively with clinical departments, coding, patient access, and payors to optimize revenue cycle performance while supporting the hospitals mission of quality patient care.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital billing or revenue cycle experience required. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience in rural hospital preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, UB-04 and CMS-1500 billing requirements. Experience with healthcare billing systems such as Meditech Expanse. Strong understanding of claims processing, denials, collections, and reimbursement methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and data analysis.
