Description
To perform all types of cardiac ultrasound studies to include 2-D and M-Mode Echocardiograms, Doppler consisting of pulsed and continuous wave, Color flow mapping, assisting physician with Trans-Esophageal Echo Studies, Stress Echo, and Dobutamine Stress Echo. These duties will be done for outpatients and inpatients. Provide direct and indirect patient care to all age groups. Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities that occur in and around the nurses’ station. Perform clerical and receptionist duties as well as assist to maintain the physical environment of the nurses’ station.
Qualifications
High School graduate or GED, medical terminology course desirable. RDCS registry is desired. Ability to read ECG recordings.
Experience
Experience with assisting with patient care. Prefer to have had courses in ultrasound, or Echocardiography.
