Under general supervision, the Clinical Application Analyst proactively supports the clinical information system(s) for Memorial Hospital & Manor (MHM). The person in this position is responsible for helping to improve patient care and safety through collaboration with clinical staff and physicians. He/she is expected to build and/or proactively maintain multiple applications that support the clinical workflows at MHM. This person is responsible for ensuring that all clinical users have the appropriate system access, that they receive training on the key functions of the clinical information system(s) they support and that end users are effectively using the system which functions as the hospital’s electronic legal health record. The Clinical Applications Analyst may be assigned to lead or participate in clinically oriented projects designed to improve clinical workflow or implement new software/services that are clinically focused. They will be the subject matter expert on Meditech’s clinical modules and respond to service desk issues and requests as they are reported. This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is expected to help foster a strong team environment and mentor junior personnel. Requires after-hours support (when needed) and participation in the department on-call rotation.


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in nursing or nursing informatics is required. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or relevant clinical certifications will be considered. The position requires over five (5) years of experience in an acute hospital setting with at least three (3) years in Information Technology.
