Jason Moye, M.D., Opens OB/GYN Practice

Memorial Hospital and Manor is pleased to welcome a new specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jason B. Moye, M.D., to the hospital's active medical staff. Dr. Moye received the Doctor of Medicine degree from the St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada in 2006. He also graduated from St. George's with a Masters of Public Health Degree. He completed the Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the Florida State University. Dr. Moye completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. While at Mercer, he received awards for Outstanding OB/GYN Resident in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He received the Laparoscopic Resident Award in 2009. A native of Tampa, Florida, Dr. Moye is married to Mandy Sampson Moye, M.D., formerly of Thomasville. Dr. Mandy Moye is currently completing a Residency in Pediatrics at the Medical University of Central Georgia, Mercer University. She will be joining the active staff of Memorial Hospital and Manor in the practice of Pediatrics next year. Dr. Jason Moye will began seeing patients on Monday, August 9, at 1632 E. Shotwell Street. Ileana Popa, M.D., Opens Internal Medicine Practice

Memorial Hospital and Manor is pleased to welcome Ileana Popa, M.D., to its medical staff in the practice of Internal Medicine. Dr. Popa is a native of Romania and received the Doctor of Medicine degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. Dr. Popa completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School in 2004. Dr. Popa is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is married to Ovidiu Popa, M.D., an OB/GYN specialist in Bainbridge. Dr. Popa's office is located at 509 Wheat Avenue, Suite B, in Bainbridge (adjacent to Bainbridge Asthma and Allergy Clinic). Dr. Cruz Opens New Allergy and Asthma Practice

Narlito V. Cruz, M.D., has returned to Bainbridge after completing a two-year Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Cruz manages and treats adults and children with allergic diseases at his practice, Bainbridge Allergy and Asthma Center, located at 509 Wheat Avenue, Suite A, in Bainbridge. Before pursuing further training in Allergy and Immunology at LSU, Dr. Cruz worked as a Pediatrician in Bainbridge from 1999 to 2005 at Memorial Pediatrics with his wife, Alicia V. Estillore, M.D. Dr. Cruz is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology and in Pediatrics.

As one of the few allergists in this area, Dr. Cruz evaluates and manages patients with allergic disorders including asthma, allergic rhinitis or hay fever, sinusitis, food and drug allergies, urticaria (hives) and angioedema (swelling), anaphylaxis, and allergic reactions from insects stings. He also evaluates and treats patients with atopic dermatitis, or eczema, which is usually seen in young infants, and could be associated with food hypersensitivity/allergy.

A specialist in allergy and immunology completes at least nine years of medical training. With such extensive training, an allergist is well-qualified to supervise the needs of patients with allergic disease. Dr. Cruz can work with you to provide an appropriate diagnosis and make subsequent modification in your environment and medications.
