Twentieth Anniversary of Memorial Hospital's Gala
The Memorial Hospital and Manor Foundation raised over $30,000 at their Gala XX, which was held on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the Kirbo Regional Center at Bainbridge College. Contributions for the Gala are made through ticket purchases of $175 per person or $350 per couple and through silent auction and live auction items. The Memorial Hospital and Manor Foundation has raised approximately $900,000 from generous community contributions during the Gala's nineteen years to fund special equipment purchases for the hospital.
The Memorial Hospital and Manor Foundation was organized in 1989 with 14 members, as well as the Chairman of the Hospital Authority and the Chief of Staff serving as ex-officio members. The Memorial Hospital and Manor Foundation has donated over $1.3 million to the hospital for equipment purchases and other capital improvements.
